DIY Builder | Sound Designer

I built my own Eurorack analog modular synthesizer, complete with DIY case and modules. I DIY'd most of my modules, and I soldered the components (as small as 0.1 mm in length!) via surface mount / through hole. Pictured below are a couple of the modules I built myself. This is an ambient and arpeggiating machine that is perfect for polyphonic patching and relaxing background sound via generative waveshaping.

DIY Ripples Module: filter module that comes with several low pass filters, a band pass filter, and frequency modulation. Complete with control voltage input.

DIY Rings Module: resonator / macro oscillator that transforms inputs into sounds with physical elements (strings, bells, plucks, etc).

DIY Prok Drum Module: 1 drum synth out of a set of 4, with large sound bank and CV control of timbre parameters.

Synthesizer Case

I DIY'd this case to specifically fit the size of the rails, complete with:

1/2 inch plywood panels
Synthrotek rails (2 x 104 hp, 6U total)
Detachable hinges (on top)
Butterfly hinges (on sides)
Rubber feet (on back and bottom)

Eurorack Jam

Jam session utilizing the basic functions of each module. Patch cables galore! Sequenced with external KeyStep Pro outputting control voltage as the master clock.

Updated Eurorack Setup

Over time, I've added more modules, which all have different sonic functions. This is the fun light show accompanied with turning on the synth. Stay tuned for another jam using all of the imaged modules....
